This is the story of a bear who, high on cocaine, set out on a violent path that was extremely difficult for people to escape. This incident is from the 80s. A 175-pound bear in Georgia ingested cocaine belonging to a known drug smuggler. What happened after this was very dangerous and scary.

In September 1985, investigators found the body of Andrew Thornton, a drug smuggler, and former police officer, at his home. Andrew was found wearing a parachute and Gucci loafers at his home in Knoxville, Tennessee. A large bag was tied around his waist, which contained 34 football-sized cocaine bundles. Reports at the time said agents suspected Thornton was part of a drug flight going to Colombia. However, he accidentally dropped his cocaine in the woods and later came to collect it.

According to reports, the authorities then started looking for the remaining supplies of Thornton. A few months later, the investigating officers found an empty bag, in which the remains of the bear were found. It is said that the bear died because of the multi-million high. 40 torn packets of cocaine were found near the bear. Policeman Gary Garner had said – the bear had reached that cocaine before us. Later this bear was named Pablo EskoBear. The name was inspired by drug lord Pablo Escobar.

Bear died of an overdose

It was revealed in the autopsy reports of the bear that three to four grams of cocaine were present in his blood. The cocaine found near the bear weighed 88 pounds. Its cost was 20 million dollars. The bear tore the packets of this cocaine and spread it all over the hill area of Fannin County. The bear is believed to have died of a cocaine overdose. Police later found two more bags, both containing a total of about 300 pounds of cocaine.
